Support this work
We run on very little, and small amounts go a long way here.
A group session costs us a room, tea, and a few volleyballs. Six months of one-to-one support costs less than a week's accommodation in the towns where we work. There is no office and no overhead — every contribution goes directly into running sessions.
What your support pays for :
-
Venue hire for weekly group sessions
-
Travel costs for participants who cannot afford the bus fare to attend
-
Doctor's assessments at the start of the programme and again at six months
-
Equipment — volleyballs, mats, gloves and bags for the beach cleans
-
A modest stipend for our local coordinator, so this work does not depend on her volunteering indefinitely
We are a small volunteer initiative, not a registered charity, so we cannot issue tax receipts. What we can do is account for every rupee. We publish our accounts every six months on [Our Accounts], and we would rather have a handful of supporters who can see exactly where their money went than a large number who cannot.
We accept bank transfers only.
Email us and we will send our account details.
Volunteer Inquiries
We are a small project and we take on volunteers slowly. What we most need are people based on the southern coast who can commit to showing up regularly over months — consistency matters far more than qualifications here.
If you have experience in counselling, social work, or addiction services, we would particularly like to hear from you.
Please tell us where you are based, how much time you can give, and why this work interests you.
This form is not monitored around the clock and is not a crisis service.
